Writer's Rules [Please Read] Empty Writer's Rules [Please Read]

Post  artygamer Sun Aug 30, 2009 7:03 pm

I know we don't want loads of rules on here, but we have to have the basics. Sorry guys!

-When writing in this section, please use proper english! (This includes puncuation and stuff like that!)
Reason? It'll be easier for people to understand [trust me on this!].

-Also, write stuff that's suitable for ALL AGES-this means no swearing or dirty language.
Reason? It'll seem offensive and rude-plus it's not nice!
EDIT!!! If you come up with a story where you think you have to say something that could be sensitive to younger ages, PM an admin with your idea, say a 13+ only or something, and they'll approve or deny your request. If it is approved, remember to put a warning on the title. Don't do it all the time-we don't really want certain people or even the site to get a rep for stuff like that.

-And lastly, it's better if you don't say stuff like "Oh my God."
Reason? Again, it'll seem offensive to anyone of a certain religion-we all have to respect each other and our beliefs.
Anyone found breaking these rules will face a consequence. In any case, the mod or admin's desision is final.
Have fun, and type wisely.
Thankies, rp diaries team.

Good rules! But I guess it'll be a problem with me, cus I can't spell so I shrink words to make it easier! Waa! Anyway good rules though and I agree with them 100%! [50-50 for the puctuation though, I better carry a dictonary for english! ECK! IT'S HEAVY!]

Aggg I'm being appolgised to by the mods!!!
Typos and spelling don't matter that much-as long as it's recognisable, it'll be fine. Also admins and mods can change anything anyone writes, so we can edit it for you!

i totaly agree. but i have an idea, i like the all ages rule, but what on the account someone wants to write say something that's pg or pg 13, nothing too vulgar or inappropriate. I think on the weird occasion someone wants to do something like that, we should first ask a mod or admin and state our idea and have it approved before we write it,. and if they get the approval, put a warning on it and a disclaimer (and the age rating of course) But i seriously doubt anyone is going to do that but you never know what weird situation might pop up.

Even though this question was asked a while ago, I'd better answer it ^^'

Saying 'OMG' in a surprised motion is fine I suppose because the 'G' could stand for any word beginning with 'g', right? Just don't over-use it.
